First of all, you did great. Two of my neighbors bought Saturns when they first were introduced and they are still driving them. Over 300,000 miles on each one. Never a minutes trouble, just keep the oil changed and have it undercoated against that crap you guys have to deal with on the highways during the winter. Headliners can be replaced cheap at any upholstery shop and your nearest big city will have many. Just enjoy driving the "Grey Ghost" and don't worry about transmissions. Any wrecking yard in a big city will sell, install and GUARANTEE one for a fraction of what a new one costs. But you won't have problems. How do I know? Look at the car. It was obviously taken good care of. You really did great...

Man, I didn't know Mattel was makin cars! haha, just kiddin. In this part of the country that vehicle would price at about 4 grand as everything is overpriced up here. For a thousand you didn't get hurt. My main question is, does it have tunes? And remember, if it gets you from point A to point B reliably, it's a good ride.

as close as I can get from a KBB check,
being I'm guessing on 1 or 3 Points they ask for,
Like record & emissions crap. I don't need no stikin' emission tests
(if they wanna know about my cars Emissions,
they can go back and Rap your Lips around the Exhaust Pipe & Inhale
:laughing7:)

so looks like for my area, I Come out Slightly on the Plus side
if I didn't brag on the test :dontknow:

WHAT?!?!?!?!? What happened to all that money VPNavy had to pay out for his Mod position?? :laughing7:

no Cash needed , we just reinstated the draft for a few minutes.

I've been hearing nothing but good things around here on them.

what also impresses me is the last Owner bought another Used Saturn,
just a few years Newer & that's just because he travels over 2 steep mountains daily to work
now & wants something with a little more Power with the winters looming.

He also contacted me today again to see how I like it & remind me not to hesitate to call If I have any Problems :laughing7: He says he knows it that well.

My first truck had 3 gas tanks! My grandfather was a welder and they liked pulling a travel trailer through mountainous regions. He made the custom grill guard and rear bumper - both tough as a Sherman tank! He made 2 aux. gas tanks and had a 3-way valve on the floorboard under the seat. It sure did cost a lot to fill all the tanks (even at $0.79/gal!), but those tanks would last a LONG time!

...Maybe you need to make yourself a front bumper with a built-in electro-magnet. Get close to someone in front of you (preferably a semi!), flip a switch and let THEM tow you around! :laughing7:

Hey there UBER Jeff... can you pick me up in St. Pete and take me to the beach?

I'll give you a good rating if you take me to the gold rings.

Hey Jeff, I'm sure Jeff would bring you a goat in his new Jeffmobile.

Just don't name the goat Jeff.

Too confusing.

You are getting rid of a ford Exploder? Seems like every time I fixed one thing on mine, something else would explode. I got 300.00 out of mine after an engine and three transmissions!

Glad you have some reliable wheels.

I had the Explorer for about 3 Years & every inspection cost me big.

3 Years ago I got $500 for a JMC Jimmy at the Junk yard
the same place only offered me $200 for the Explorer which I 'm sure is Heavier then the Jimmy.
prices have really dropped.
it spited me to Sell for $200, but I almost settled for $150 from a closer place.

Both had Engines that Wont Quit. Excellent with allot of Power
But the Undersides rotted away.

As far as Ford/Chevy

GMC beats Ford imo for dependability

At least it is gone. We have no inspections here. I would have been in major trouble if we did. When the government had the Cash for Clunkers program the number one vehicle traded in was the Explorer. Piece of junk. My dive partners fiance has an Escape. It can escape everything but a mechanic.
