North American Arrowheads

Moved thread to Indian artifact forum.

Post picture of them, although you can't sell here without being charter member, members can give you an idea of what they might be worth.

Having difficulty getting this site to allow upload/attachment of photos. I have them as attachments to an email that i could send to someone who could then figure out how to upload onto this thread.

When you say: "I found a collection of 250+ North American indian arrowheads."

Does this mean you purchased these items from the Sadigh Gallery? I see the 3third image, dsc02196.jpg, a letter from Sadigh Gallery describing a roman coin included.

I am confused how this relates.
Where these obtained from the gallery?
If not, where were these "found"?

They are what are called field grade points, so value per each is minimal.

Depending on what you paid you may or may not make any money.

Also, Sadigh Gallery Ancient Art went out of business and had a reputation of selling fakes if you review their customer reviews and complaints.

As Dogmose asked, how did you aquire them, did you buy or were they given to you, if given then you will make a little but don't get big $ signs in your eyes as value is mininum.

No, did not acquire collection from a gallery.

It was found in an old house that that I had purchased as-is many years ago. Collection was (still is) in a series of 3-ring binders with notes.

As to the letter from a gallery, presumably you are referring to the statement therein about the "Roman Bronze socketed arrowhead, c.100BC". Presumably, the prior owner and collector (long ago deceased) had procured the letter as to that particular item in the collection..

I agree with Newman, re-frame and keep them. An auction house if they even accepted them will charge 25%-35% fee.

Those that are broke, missing tips, ears/barbs, or stacks are all but worthless to experienced buyers.

You would make more selling them individually on EBay, if you want to hassle with 200 auctions.
