Started with a Minelab xterra 505. Then Equinox 600 with stock coil, xl coil and sinper coil depending on circumstances. Now use a manticore.

It's been hot 🔥 so I've been detecting creeks a little before work the last week. These are from three different places. Lot of work. The brass lock body and 1800 Drapped bust came out of 3 feet of water. Looking like it's either the 1800 over 1798 or 80 over 79 varity. Regardless it's a bucket list coin for me. Definitely something going in in the center of the 1st 0. The was flooded last weekend and I had to wait until it this weekend to go into the main channel. Its my 2nd large cent from this spot. Any ideas on the big lead tag? Just numbers on it. Pewter spoon handle says looks like it says Best Britann above a crown and the word metal bellow the crown. Think the fishing lure body looking thing is off a saddle?

That's an awfully nice LC, given that its been under water for a VERY LONG time. Congrats to you.
Was pretty deep in water too. The braided hair i found there was in the shallower gravel and pretty corroded. Suspect Lady Liberty spent most of her time sealed in the clay layer since she was pretty much in it after I got down to her.
