Work has stopped on Oak Island because it is a decoy. The real treasure at the real location has been recovered so the Oak Island decoy is no longer required.

More believable content is available on shows such as real housewives of (fill in the blank).

Of course, some folks watch ancient aliens too and believe it to be factual.

Curse of hoax island scripts had gotten so bad that even the actors were having issues attempting to keep a straight face.
I just like the guy with the crazy hair on ancient aliens

Closed? Wait till I tell my wife we must cancel out our trip up there this summer. Gosh, we'll have to find somewhere else to go on vacation now. I so looked forward to seeing the world's largest pile of wood dug from previous searchers. ah hahahahahahaha

Who in the world would be defamed by that? Daniel McGinnis? I'll proudly call it a hoax.
You can call the treasure a hoax all you want. The problem may come when you name people and call them hoaxers. Here are two posts from another thread that would require the posters full name with the post on two other forums that I visit.

1- All fictional stories based on hoaxers (including the Laginas) making revenue off the fictional claims.

2- The Laginas also own the hoax promotion company (Oak Island Tours) as well. Seems that after they purchased and took down the factual website that debunked all of their fake Treasure claims, they are purchasing everything intellectual or property wise related to the long running hoax in order to cover their tracks.

I like the poster and have no problem with those post, I was just trying to sneak in the point that there might be more people lurking here than you think. I'm a member of a Vintage Sports Forum and our lurkers include the FBI and the IRS. The FBI agent has interviewed enough members of the forum that word gets around quickly when he shows up at one of the major shows. No reason for the FBI to troll here and no big treasures mentioned to interest the IRS. If the Oak Island people are trolling, then I might clean up a thread or two.

lol...

The Laginas are now involved in selling

None of the people involved with making this show believe they are still looking for treasure.

It is just telling lies to raise money from advertising/ratings the idea that they could start legal proceedings against a person who tells the truth about Oak island is farcical.

Memorial Holiday weekend at Oak Island

Friday, May 27th - Lots of vehicles going onto the Island. Loads of tourist and a Budget rental van which usually means the film crew. Someone on the film crew was practicing drone flying and it spent a little time hovering over the property at the entrance to the causeway.

Sunday, May 29th - Things are tightening up on Oak Island starting Monday, May 30th. No vehicles will be allowed to cross the causeway except for owners and crew. The property owner and taker of the photos is expecting backups and traffic problems. Says it was fun to watch people trying to back off the causeway when the gate was down on the Island.

I imagine that they'd make an exception for the crew of Brinks trucks that would be needed to offload the contents of the Chappell Vault.

If they need those Brinks trucks, it will be in the middle of the night when they cross the causeway. Should they cross the causeway when its light, I'm sure we will have pictures posted here. If they do cross at night, there will still be photos, I think. There are a number of locals & tour boats taking pics of the Island from the water almost daily.

May 30th - Marty & Alex and another vehicle spent time at the causeway entrance filming with GoPro cameras. The "Island Closed to Visitors" sign came down. You can drive across the causeway to turn around only. You can't stay and the centre is still closed.

It looks like Billy has a new long reach excavator today, so it's back to the swamp.
