I'm posting on my account this time not my husband. He found the coins but I found my first token and was offered $100 for it by a private collector. The book says $60 but sometimes you never know. I had to tease him because he goes alot and hasn't found one this year and it was the second or third time I went. However, he saw that I was getting frustrated and he told me to go to an area that he thought looked good and five minutes later there it was. The town on the token isn't even where I found it, my husband says that's common. Thanks for looking and happy hunting!

Nice find! And Sell!

Congrats on the beautiful token.

Outstanding cleaning job on that token. After trying everything, I gave up on cleaning long ago, never got nice results like yours.

Nice token and finds. All I ever find are the chuckie cheeses and batting cage tokens, WTG. :icon_thumright:.

WOW, I guess that $100 would be mine. Congrats on that very nice and rare token. That 1918 mercury dime is awesome too.

awesome hunt,wtg!

nice $100 find *

Nice finds! Nice cleaning? What did you use on the token to clean it up?
The silver sure is shiny.

I probably wouldn't have gave up the token either, It would go in the treasure chest.
It's yours to do with what you want. Congratulations for sure!

Some nice finds. I say oh yea $100 bucks for you. If you don't collect sell....Matt

Great finds, Love the token.

The book price is just an idea of what one might pay. I would say the offer you were made seems fair.
Being the token is rated S (Scarce) 8 to 15 known. I would much rather find a token than your common silver. It would take alot of common silver to top that offer you were made. GREAT FIND!

Watch out for what you're offered. I was offered $200 for a token once.....sent it to an auction in California, and received over 6 times what I was originally offered.

If....If....If you decide to sell, through a recognized auction house is the O-N-L-Y W-A Y to go.
Several very good ones in California, and they would represent it to the right clients......that's their business.
Whatever, great find. :icon_thumleft:
