Hi Everyone,

I found this object today and it was totally crusted over. But, after a little cleaning it revealed some colors and letters.

It is about the size of a silver dollar. It has three colors, Red, White and Blue. There are white letters and blue letters although not clear to read.

I can make out a W on the top left and it looks like the white letters on the bottom say Power, POW, or Poultry. There is a red emblem of sorts in the middle that almost resembles flames.

Is it a union pin? Is it something else? I get the impression it is the front half of a clamp pin.

This was found in a yard near the historic Fort Worth stockyards.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks,

Patrick

Yes, I think that is the type of attachment. There is a notch indented into the top of it. That might also explain the flat bottom.

But, I can't make out the letters any better and have no clue what it really is. If it helps, it was found where the garage would have been on the property.

I also thought it might have had something to do with Swift/Armour as that was the main cattle processor here back in the day (and the reason for the stock yards.) If the word is 'Poultry' as it appears to be, what else could it be associated with? The color scheme could have worked. Their logo had a red shield shape with a letter S in the middle.
