Old cow bell and a piece of I don't know what...

So I was in the woods on an old cart path that opens up into an old farmers field, there was a water source, so I wondered if it was used for live stock...

But anyhow, is this a cow bell? And can anyone tell me what this other thing is from?

Thanks in advance!

That really is incredible. Thanks nhbenz. Yep, we each found opposite halves of the same sash buckle. Metal PM'd me too. Detect in the same area, but we had never crossed paths before.

OMGoodness I can't believe it! This is fantastic! What are the odds of that ever happening again? I suggest both of you go out tomorrow and buy lottery tickets. To add a little more to this: A friend of mine is here this week staying with us, and she's from Fall River, MA; she grew up on June Street.

Breezie, that is either a butterfly with the longest tail I've ever seen... or in actuality it is a dragonfly.

Yeppers, after looking at it enlarged and with my glasses, it is a dragonfly. :)

GREAT POST! GREAT HOBBY!

I fear that combining them may open a portal to a world unknown.
