Dug this iron item up on my property last year. It resembles some type of bolt. It is an inch and a half long. Square opening through center is about 1/4” wide. The round what looks like a washer which i am not sure is detached or not due to rust factor- is one inch wide. The hole that is on the stem is only on one side. As i have posted before- many layers of history on my property from revolutionary and civil war movement and hundred years of hunters (throwing down trash) and property was logged around 110 years ago. Any ideas are surely appreciated. My husband says i have just found an old dump 😬

I do not see any threads inside or out.

It is part of an old porcelain door knob.
You win for fastest reply ever - I would have never figured that out. I feel sure there was a structure on my property mid 1700’s to mid 1800’s. But nothing I find has any remnant of wood, leather or cloth. And everything is so rusty. Thank you so much for helping identify this thing
