Hello Everyone,

Today, I visited an old park that has been hunted for years. Trying something different to find old coins this trip and using the Minelab Explorer SE with a 5” stealth coil. I worked a sloped grassy area for two hours, moving at a snail’s pace and digging only signals located in the upper right of the smart screen. This yielded a Barber quarter, Indian Head cent, Wheat Lincoln cent and a few modern clad coins.

Thank you for reading,

GL & HH

Slopes and hills are where I've found most of my silver coin spills. Well done

Congrats!I've had my Explorer II for a 12 years,It's a real silver slayer and I've found around 1400 silver coins with it,went to the CTX,better balanced but still a brick and found hundreds more silver.I got a Nox only because of the weight and at pushing 70,it's an issue, but it does not equal an Explorer on deep silver, and every so often I pull it out and do a hunt with it.

Congrats on your Barber and I.H. finds Professor.
The best advice a friend gave me when I started detecting was to swing low and slow... but it sounds to me like you're no 'newbie' to detecting. :laughing7:

Nice job on the old coins Professor. Always nice to see a Barber Quarter come out of the dirt.

Well done Professor. Great job pulling the goods out of a tough spot. I admire the people that hunt these spots that have been hammered for years. Much more talented than a guy like me that goes great distances into the woods to find old sites that haven’t been hunted.
