Still not able to get out to the places i really want to detect but as it turned out the best place was my backyard. It says Waterbury Button Co. Waterbury Conn. on the back . Wilkes Barre(pennsylvania) Police with the cities emblem Beehive in the middle.

That's a great hit. Last year I found a few police uniform buttons from NYPD and one of them was a Brooklyn Police Dept button that was merged with NYPD in 1856. As they were found together they must have been lost right around the time of the merger. I think any kind of uniform buttons are cool. You got a really nice looking one.
