Worth a punt for a quarter. It will say "1847 Rogers Bros". That was the year when Rogers perfected their silver-plating process, but not the year the spoon was made. In November 1862, an agreement was made with the Meriden Britannia Company for the Rogers Brothers [Asa, Simeon, and William] to come to Meriden to supervise the production of silverplate under the new trademark "1847 Rogers Bros." This was also celebrated as the 15-year anniversary of the process.

The trademark changed hands when the Meriden Britannia Company became part of the International Silver Company in 1898 and was in use until at least the 1980s. Couldn't find that pattern in any of the early pattern books and I'm guessing it may not be as old as it looks.

Thanks for the info!
