I've got an old bottle here (which I believe is a sheared lip?)(pre 1870??), and embossed on one side of the bottom heel is a cursive capital letter 'N', a small 'o' with an = under it, and the number '4' (No.4?). 2 sides are convex and 2 sides are flat. 20220828_161213.jpg 20220902_212335.jpg 20220902_212403.jpg
Would sure appreciate it if anyone has any info at all on this one. Thanks to all.

I know there's a bottle dump guru out there that knows exactly what this bottle is lol or maybe even more specifics on the time period for this style of lip and maybe what body style of this bottle is called.

Nice old bottle... I would call that a fire polished finish, a relative of the sheered lip. Definitely is number 4....maybe a hair coloring or balsam.
