One Oak Island Answer

Google Maps Image Errors TODAY
Latest Google Maps image for my posts has shifted west by about 20 feet from previous coordinates. Not a problem unless your using visible landmarks to dig a hole.

I just thought I'd put my 2 cents here for people to kick around. I don't know if there is treasure there or not, but somebody went through a lot of trouble there centuries ago for something. It'd be great if there is treasure there, but somehow I doubt it. Odds are that whoever may have put something there more than likely retrieved it already. If not the one that buried it then others who have been there could've found what it was and took it.

I do find it intriguing even if nothing is recovered simply because of the historical questions that have arisen and could be answered. I live in a very historical area and there's very little in the way of this kind of intrigue that Oak Island offers up. The farther they go the more questions that seem to arise. I believe the value there is historical rather than treasure even though the finds they've gotten I'd consider as treasure, just on a smaller scale than they make it out to be. We'll see what comes of it hopefully in my lifetime.

I will give you one to think about...The Shugborough monument in Staffordshire England has the letters carved into it.
O.U.O.S.V.A.V.V
D. M.

(0=15)+(U=21)+(O=15)+(S=19)=70 (V=22)+(A=1)+(V=22)+(V=22)=67 (70 to 67 Longitude) and the is West Longitude

(D=4) (M=13 or (1+3=4) 44 Latitude North

Puts you off the west end of Nova Scotia, By the Overton Stone...
You are not the first to suggest this scheme as a starting point.

That is by simple modern English Gematria (as opposed to the Tudor or Latin version), which would be a variation of what John Dee liked to use using Chaldean numerological values for the letters of the alphabet (the values are given based on the sounding of the letter when spoken, giving it a harmonic basis). By this method "John Dee" sums to 18 and 14 (total 32) You could creatively point to lot 18 of 32 on OI with it if you wanted to pursue that coincidence. Not saying you should. It may have served later story fabricators.

You might want to consider what those coordinates look like expressed as a location using 66.6W of Paris (not Greenwich) and 44.4N and what ratio that looks like when divided by 22.2 (the angle value signaled atop Nolan's cross, incidentally), or by summing the coordinates to 111 (Agrippa's alchemical magic planetary magic constant for the Sun). 3:2 is the 3rd approximation of the Golden mean (Phi) using the successive Fibonacci numbers, and the Pythagorean harmonic ratio (use to give frequency ratios to notes as opposed to values to letters). The 5th approximation of it is 8:5 which is the proportion of Nolan's Cross using Amundsen's Kingdom stone as a concealed base for the stem. 5x8 is also an identifiable "signature" of the OI mystery. It appears in many details (number of characters on the alleged stone discovered 40 years after the arrival of British colonials to OI from Rhode Island in 1763 which allegedly give "40 feet below", for example).

D.M. as an abbreviation is known from Latin tombstone inscriptions where it is common. It means "to all of the Gods of the past". The God(s) that is/are most often referred are those that had stood for the Sun or those associated with its family. Most often it is Zeus/Apollo or Venus (the morning star), the holy trinity of the archetype of the dying God myth to the Greeks.

Of interest, there is a well known mysterious esoteric inscription that was put on a marble plaque at Bologna, Italy that is called the "Aelia Laelia Crispis" inscription. There is a coincidence with this crafty esoteric riddle in that it was found at the same latitude as that of OI, 44.51N. This clearly was not chosen to involve OI. At 44.51N the daily path of Cygnus (the swan and the celestial Cross) makes it disappear for just a short period of time exactly at the Northern Horizon (for about 8 minutes). This happens because Cygnus is ever so slightly N of being in complete Zenith above at this latitude when it reaches its daily culmination. Obviously the same is true and also visible from NA at that latitude. The connection between Zeus and the swan is from mythology where he disguised himself as a Swan to seduce Leda in the very famous story.

It is my suspicion that many of the OI details are "made to fit" in a mystery tradition, just as the Lord Anson inscription was probably made to fit. Everything about it is supposed to get you excited about discovering the meaning of it all, imho. I also don't think the original island suggested in this mystery is supposed to be OI. It is possibly that island at 44.4N, 66,6W of Paris that figures in the historical NS account described by DesBrisay from ca. 1830 which is clearly lending some of its details to the later Masonic fabrications at OI.

If you are dogged enough about it you can find traces of this symbolic storytelling that originate in Europe. It is associated with the colonial period and the Early voyages of Gilbert to North America which were to layout a "Christianized" plan for colonization informed by a numerology exploiting 40 (the most prolific number symbol in the Bible). This is the same individual who received a many months long "education" from Dee prior to his voyage regarding his devised method of symbolic navigation that he called the "paradoxical compass" employing multi level significances (many of which were esoteric). Sites of Geo-metric importance using the novel Mercator maps were to be visited and signaled for their later purpose in the grand scheme of colonization. This was alleged to be repeating the details in the God's "Great Work" or "magnum opus" which was going to be further completed by having Britain extend its Empire to North America to spread Christianity. The sites of Newport, Rhode Island and of the Jamestown colony location at Chesapeake figure in Dee's Geo-metry. It is why we today still get echoes of a Freemasonic alignment of major cities on the East coast upon a symbolic heading. That "hint" has survived in lore. The plan was real, but based on hocus pocus of a religious bent. There is a North American intercept at 44.4N, 66.6W that interested Dee because two great circles of symbolic heading intersect near there. On Gilbert's final fatal voyage, a ship in his fleet was lost not far from this location of of Sable Island. Gilbert later died on the same journey in 1583 before reaching Europe. The effort probably only has meaning to Freemasons. It does not surprise that they have been the custodians of the OI story through the years.

I can tell you Mass and NS tie together. If you find some old Templar books from the late 1800s, you will see. The Mass lodge held the development plans for Nova Scotia.

Erasmus Philipps came to NS from Boston where he attained his Mason Mason degree ca 1842. These men were Templar knights in inspiration only. It's part of the figurative role playing associated with Masonry.

Horatio, left ns to leed American Revolution.
GATES, the Templars, all.the way back to our ordered exile 1307, escaping to the Annapolis valley.
