I Had To Dig Through 2 Inches Of Frozen Ground For This Crusty IH Cent So I Figured It Was Worth Posting. Its A 1880 And Has A Large X Carved In The Front. If Im Not Mistaken, Someone Gave A Reason Why People Did This Back In The Day. If Anyone Knows Let Me Know.

Ive Put It In Boiling Peroxide Twice. Suprisingly It Had No Effect. Its Corroded.

Beats all the clad I had to dig thru the same frozen 2" of ground for! Congrats!

If it was not corroded, then certainly you would not be restoring it with peroxide.
