Ornate brass plated ____???

Found this neat looking item, along with what I assume is a partially used 4 lb. lead ingot at a 1800s home site. It measures approx 1-1/2" across, and the stem is just under 1". Appears to be brass plated steel, and the stem does not look to be threaded inside. I have no clue what it came off of.
As for the 4 pieces of brass(?), I'm guessing them to be from some type of musical instrument. Any ideas what they were part of?

The 4 finds in the 3rd picture are pump organ reeds. Look closely and you might see the note.

I agree with Bruce, this is a furniture knob.

"Brass plated items are usually made of steel or white metal (zinc) to which molecules of brass are electroplated.
Lacquer is usually applied to protect the plating, as brass plating is very thin and will deteriorate over time."

Based on the design, I'm thinking this is late-19thc.

Thanks. The home site where the items were found is marked on the 1874 plat book, but not on the 1904 plat.
