I had such a great day! :)

Met up with OWK and we did a couple places today. He suggested the places and I brought along my clad curse. ;)

I can't speak for him but I know I enjoyed the meeting and that F-70 is an impressive machine! (Not gonna change my ATP ;) )

We hunted a beautiful morning, almost to 12pm. Then, unfortunately, he had some life stuff to do. :dontknow:

We parted ways and on my way home I remembered a spot I hadn't tried in quite some time. It's been pounded, (I know, I did quite a bit of the pounding myself. :) ) Still, the clad train continued. UNTIL:

That's right new partner, I actually did wind up with a ring after getting fooled before. LOL

Here's the rest of today's finds:

Beautiful day, good finds, an almost whole day hunt, and a new friend!
What could be better? :)

Here's the ring after it's bath:

Beautiful silver ring, with what looks to be a nice piece of Amathyst in it. Love it!

Nice hunt and a very purdy ring.

Wow! I bet that ring made you gasp when you first saw it! Nice one.

Glad you found something for Blingy.

Would have been a rough night sleeping on the porch.

And curiously enough, I think you found it at the same location I pulled the two silver Washingtons from.

(and also two silver rings on an earlier hunt)

Nice silver, I like that centennial Canook coin, good work.

Good digs as usual... the smashed bullet caught my eye, I found one just like it up in Garrett County MD this past June. I don't know what caliber, or how old it is.

That thing was pretty deep (and at an Elementary school). Gave us a chance to compare detector performance.

Kinda target that lets you know there was use before it was a school.

At least you got some silver. nice digs

That's a real nice ring sir!

Way to go

That is one eyeful of beautiful silver ring bling! Congrats!
Blingie must be on cloud 9! That should be good for at lest a week of free passes into the house!

Glad to see your getting out there with fellow TH'ers, nice! Looks like your silver train is up and running again!

I will try to post my finds later today when we go to the 2 grand daughters birthday bash, hopefully I can sneak off for a little free wifi use alone. If not I'm going to look a little strange dumping out a pouch of clad and trash taken pics of it then posting, oh well they think I'm nuts anyhow, why disappoint the family now! Lol!

Yeah, I know what you mean about that place. Just curious though. How deep were your finds? I suspect
you'll prove a theory.

Thanks!

Yeah, been a long time coming though, it seems. Still, nice to know that I don't have anyone who just takes my bling
as theirs. (except one I can catch and take it back if I wanta. ;) ) I kinda hate to hear the stories on here where someone finds
a beautiful ring and the significant other simply announces that this ring is now their property. The same significant other
that just sneers at ya when you say you're going detecting. ;)

Thanks! Yeah it's a really pretty ring. Even better in person. I can't make up my mind how old though. Anyone know when they first
started marking things as .925? :dontknow:

Silver and ring drought over in one dig, neat! :)

I'll try to give you a summary. I've pulled about 10 wheaties out of this school. All on the lowest of the athletic fields relative to the school. (the one with the two baseball fields.)

The wheaties nearly all came from the center of the field (the intersection between the outfields of the two baseball diamonds). The dates on the wheats were from 1940, to 1957. (most closer to 40 than 57). They ranged in depth from 6 to 10 inches.

The two silver Washingtons were 1950, and 53. Minimal wear. They were both pulled from approximately far right field of the baseball diamond closest to the school. Under a pretty good sized tree. Within ten feet of one another. And both about 5 to 6 inches or so.

I also pulled a pretty nice silver ring out of this place (marked T&Co. which is Tiffany). A plain heavy band.

I haven't really hunted much but the lower field in this place. (and not really much of that). It's been pretty good for a Modern Era school though.

Yeah, if you look at the pics they're in order of what I saw. At first glance I knew I had a ring, but, wow! When I turned it around! LOL!!

Yeah, that back fence runs along a pretty old section of ground there.

Well, I didn't find that dropped elementary school kid's engagement ring, but I came awfully close!! LOL

great ring. looks like blingie is happy

Anybody gonna ask if that's a '42 wheat??? I can't tell on my phone.

Life's a Garden... Dig It.

Never mind, I got my dates mixed up... Confused with the '43!
