Walked out of Wachovia with $42 in coins today...
4 rolls of pennies yielded... nothing special, just an extra cent.
4 rolls of nickels yielded... a 1946 Jeff, the only keeper in the bunch.
4 rolls of dimes yielded... nothing of interest.
11 dollars (sacs and SBA's), and 2 halves... also nothing.
Still had fun sorting with my wife. The lesson I learned today was that urban bank tellers have forgotten how to do cash withdrawals, no thanks to ATMS. I waited while the teller tried to remember the whole process over again; it'd obviously been awhile since he'd done a non-deposit transaction. He gave me no trouble with wanting coins, just that I write down my complicated wishlist for him. (UPDATE: The teller, not knowing what papers to file for a cash withdrawal, instead filed it as a cash advance. I could tell he looked like he didn't know what he was doing!)
May your finds bring you joy!
