Petrified wood

Found a small piece in my back yard. I live in Severn Maryland. Found an 8 lb part of tree or branch a year ago. This small piece seems darker I can see features and curvature. Any ideas if it is pet wood?

Sure looks like it to me, does it have any weight to it?

No it weighs 45 g about the weight of most rock this size give or take.
