Hello forum friends,

I've been very busy, Another ship and playing with Pi's again.

Here's a picture of a Whites pi mounted with an 11" DD coil, Mounted in this DD coil the other night and it's the first whites Pi in the world to have a DD coil.

It's still in testing stages, But you are one of the first to witness this beauty.

Hi Mike,

I sent you an email this morning but it came back undelivered, So I'll post the message here.

To be honest, You or any of the others should not attempt the same mod of adding a DD coil to your Whites Pi detectors as I did mine. You'll need to modify the circuit board to accept the DD coil which has four wires instead of two as on the stock mono coil, Plus the coil has to be designed or close enough for the Surf Pi to accept.

I tinker with Pi detectors and not all of the experiments work, This one happened to work as planned but as you can see my Whites Pi with the DD coil is still in testing stages, Hopefully Whites electronics will pickup on the idea.
