Piece of jewelry

Eye balled this while out and about, marked 14k-24. Had pocketed it real quick as I was busy just suspecting it'd be junk by years of metal detecting shine catches my eye and I just have to pick it up. Later cleaned it and appears picking it up was worth while. Not sure what it came off of but if anyone has a clue I'd appreciate the input. Has 6 stones but with my luck it will just be CZs.

No idea what it came off of tried Google but I came up empty image wise. I'm surprised no one picked it up as it was in a high school. Been helping the high school band set up for tournaments and the school is in a more affluent area that this particular tournament was at. Lots of people walking around so just got lucky.

I think that is an earring dangler. Person with diamond stud earrings can insert the post through the dangler before inserting in ear to add more dazzle.

Yep, what qtrs-xcite-me says. The post earring might be near where you found it. Stones are probably real.

It was all that was around. Well all that caught my eye. It was in between the cement walkway lines. I was carrying instruments at the time so didn't have time to further look around but I think in this case it just got kicked up over there and for whatever reason no one ever picked it up.

I doubt it since it was in a high school. Schools in California are often no go zones for metal detecting.

i would guess diamonds are real most fake stones wont have studs to hold them in.
