Piece of wood from flood.

Found on the river bank today. I suspect it’s older due to the mortise tenon holes. Some still practice this type of work but the piece appears older.

Just thought it was neat and would post. I left it laying because I didn’t feel like carrying it out. Lol.

Thats pretty cool I get that also Honey you dont plan on bringing that in the house do you. Its allready in the house Im running it through the dish washer lol........Tommy

Lol I understand. Regretfully I left it laying but hid it in bushes just in case.

When I lived in New Orleans and was renovating old houses any piece of wood I pulled out like that went home with me and eventually got used somewhere else. Out here I'm building new houses and there's just nothing worth keeping. I that one's been in the water a while it's probably beautiful inside

i feel your pain! I save any cool piece of beach wood I find...that older stuff is pretty dang heavy too
