The Smokies are quite a hike from the coast! Wonder if Sam found anything using those magnetic needles?

I hiked the trails in the mountains hundreds of times in my younger days. Sometimes it was a frightening experience for the trails were often full of pirates. I got in the habit of carrying crackers in my pocket to give their parrots which oft times drew a hearty "ARGH" from them. I have not been there in a few years so not sure they still are up on the trails.

Does my story make sense to you? About as much sense as Pirate treasure in the Smoky Mountains.
