I didn't know the Rubber Room was gone. I think it would be wise to bring it back so the politics and religion will not spill over into the other parts of the forum (they will). My two cents.

Hopefully, it's only a minor malfunction. Although there is plenty to read &
a lot that can be learned, I just paid up for another year & would hate not to
have this interesting part of T-Net to go to. It would then be as boring as the
other 3 MD'ing sites I belong to. Even my membership rating & # of posts
have changed. If the rubber room has been deleted, I want a refund.

Don't tell me the socialists & the liberals have somehow passed the Fairness
Doctrine here because very few of us endorse the sheik, O. Hussein. ;D
Can't help myself, had to get one more in. Maybe Obama censored us.

I've already post this. I think it would be wise to bring back the Rubber Room and maybe make it for members only. That way the public will not view it. If you don't bring it back it is going to spill over onto other rooms on the forum. Mary, I like the way you express yourself. Don't change and don't feel any guilt.

My two cents.

I hope this and the recently revised Terms and Conditions aren't just because a member got upset because someone called them a name.

I'm not totally behind the decision, but I understand completely why it was done.

It's not the responsibility of Marc, jeff of pa, wreckdiver1715, PBK, etc. to police what we say, it's our responsibility, and almost everyone in the Rubber Room (me included) has been doing a terrible job of self-control.

If we need a place to debate hot-button issues, perhaps it would be better if we go find a politics board to do it on.

(This was moved to another thread, and I will make no responses regarding it. This is a statement, not an argument. Thank you.)

I hope they are not gone for good, but it isn't likely that just those threads had a glitch and none of the others. I hope the powers that be will reconsider the censorship and bring them back as they were.

Well, I hope the problem will be handled maturely & not like all other
problems today. As we see in the classrooms & workplaces today,
instead of dealing with a few trouble-makers, the PC way is to punish
everyone. No confrontation, it's the cowards way out. It was a welcome
change to get the flavor of our world in general & our country in particular
& exchange some ideas. The problems seemed to have come from a few
who didn't like the idea that their views were in the minority. Oh well, that's
what opinions are about, don't attack the messenger. Hope, they return, if
not T-Net will be like every other MD'ing site out there, boredom after the
first half hour of , 'wow great find', 'congrats on that', 'look what I found' &
all the 'way to goes'. IMO, some mature thinking is in order.

What? They took 'em away? How come?? ???
So I'm kinda wondering if my comments don't have to be leashed to that section "only" anymore... since there isn't one.
If that's the case, thank you Mr. Marc! :D

Maybe Marc is saving us from ourselves... LMAO

One thing we must say when it's over and the dust is settling...
This is a private site what we are allowed is a gift.

I'm sure it is a case of someone not playing by the new rules or something similar.

Someone is telling us that this isn't Burger King and no we can't have it our way all the time.

Do you KNOW why it was deleted or are you surmising? I'd like to KNOW why it was deleted, and then perhaps some type of solution can be worked out. For example, I would gladly accept lifetime banishment from POSTING on the Rubber Room boards if it meant others could return to them. Punishing all for the actions of a few (if that is indeed the reason for the deletion) seems draconian, IMHO.

TT, it is very few & far in between that you don't say something that makes me laugh... at least a little bit...
Ok, I'm gonna laugh a little more at the phrase "lifetime banishment" :D
You're ok in my books.

Bring back the Rubber Room, it's the most important part of this website.

TT, I do agree with you on everything else regarding this issue (I believe)... but I don't know that either of those threads were/are the most important part of this website. To me, it's a huge addition that I really do love & enjoy ALOT... but I think it's more of the people who reside here on T-Net that make it what it is, rather than those threads. Don't get me wrong, I really think they should be brought back. I love (most of the time) the riveting conversations & debates that go on in there!

Disagree, people should be able to voice an opinion & listen to others
opinions without the childish attitudes. They can't intelligently respond
so the name calling & personal attacks begin. When it does, is it not the
moderators job to straighten them out ? If they can't respond as adults,
then ban them from the rubber rooms as they have already proven their
inmaturity. Why beat up on everyone else because you refuse to deal with
the troublemakers head-on.
