A friend of mine was hiking in Mexico and took a picture of these markings. He thinks it could be old Spanish treasure symbols. Does anyone have any suggestions on what it might mean. Thank you
More than likely they're Indigenous rock paintings that were there long before the Spanish exploitations.

Cool find! Do you have a wider-angle view of them, taken from farther back so we can better put the surroundings in context? Almost looks like a wall or foundation or rock crevice there.

That’s the only picture I have. From what he told me it’s a rock wall. But it’s protected from the rain.
