I was watching an episode of preppers today on NatGeo and was surprised to see a cache.
The couple was showing how they made a cache using PVC pipe and how they buried it on their property. They said to date they had buried as much as $30,000.00 in silver. I guess that means there will always be caches to find....... however, I can't believe how many of these preppers show and tell as much as they do. These folks have food and gun stashes as well as silver and gold obviously that are mind boggling and they show it on TV...not smart if ya ask me but I guess that is up to them. Looks like somebody is going to have fun finding these new caches in the future.

What theyre not showing you is the booby traps that are protecting said caches:laughing7:Also those caches are there for a reason that is slowly approaching, slow maybe but gathering steam, but, approaching never the less.

Well, I pity the fool that tries to find a fresh one and odds are the majority of them will be recovered by the folks that placed them but like
anything, some of it will be forgotten or lost thru time leaving some future seeker a treasure to find. Still think these folks that go on these shows are just opening themselves up to becoming targets if the stuff does hit the fan. less people know, the better the secret kept

What about some of the posters on this very web site who posts photo's of their gold and silver stashes? Do you think they actually believe they are hiding their location behind a post?

Don't know if it's true or not, my 14 year old hacker neighbor tells me he can track down the exact address of any poster, any where, any time. True, who knows? I just don't let him near my computer.

I seen a article recently on a homemakers website. It was how to bury a cache so metal detectors(people) can't find them. I found it funny people were commenting that lead will work but we all know it wouldn't. It was just funny all these soccer moms and dads talking about burying the kids college fund in silver in the back yard. Their going to crap when a guy using some discretion comes along and digs it up lol. We're all looking on old home sites and we should be asking in sub divisions. Good luck out there.

Lol @ bury it under lead. Might as well paint a Big X on the ground.

I bet that the guy that suggested a lead shield had a detector and fresh batteries. lol Frank...

Besides that half of us would be digging that signal just to see what it was making the detector go crazy, and be surprised when we rechecked the hole! A twist of fate!
