The Publix machines here have 2 different designs, the one the chute is a low and open protruding cup at your knees, the other its higher and recessed. I find more left in the recessed one, except one time someone had stuffed a folded envelope in the slot blocking reject coins from coming out. What type do your stores have, and do you see a difference?

Also the one wally world more than a few times there has been a plastic grocery bag blocking the rejects, do you see that as often, or is it a trick someone local pulls?

The several Publix stores here that I hit all have the same type of machines, reject tray protruding at your knees. Winn Dixie and Wally World have the coinstars

Around here the employees do that and pull the bag (plug) out when people are done. Don't forget to check through the holes where you dump your coins! A pencil with a blob of the sour green apple gum on it will fish diamond stud earrings out slicker t n snot! No coins but plenty of earrings & fake finger nails!
