Hi there fwllows,
I am new here and will update my bio soon, minus 200 miles lol. Anyway here are a couple finds from today. In my area, New England, quartz seems to be the most prominent mineral used to make arrowheads. The first two pics I found 1/24/20. Today. One is 3/4 of a very small 3/4 inch quartz arrowhead. Its split long ways down the middle. The other looks like one started and never dinished. Someone got bored. I also uploaded a couple more photos from the past. All found by myself. Last photos are aome of my faveroite. Sorry for typos, on the smartphone. The tide is right tommorow to get to some good spots. I will post everyday no matter if i find or not. I love to share, it's what its all about.

What does T4 mean when scribed on bone

Found this a while ago. Cannot figure out what it is. I know archeologists use terranova sections when segregating find. This is bone with a T4 srcipt on the back. Many more interwating finds to come

Awesome old pipes! :occasion14:

Nice finds , you should post in the North American Indian artifact forum also there’s a lot of other nice artifacts posted there

Nice find on those points and other artifacts.

Those small arrowheads are bird points. Found a few in CT. That cracked bone is cooked and broken to eat the marrow. Other quartz photo is a drill. Real nice. Where on New England are you?

Great finds I agree about posting in the artifact forum also. Hope to see your next post those are some really cool finds

Welcome from MI Tommy

That reminds me of another puzzlement I have about my walks. I *always* keep an eye out for arrowheads and, after all these years, I have a grand total of "*one*"!! All the ground I have searched!?? One!!?? :dontknow:

Beyond me.

Made Tom. I do most of my hunting in north east MA, but on long weekends go north south east and west. Thabks for the nomenclature. Im a newbie on history and teeminology, however, I am blessed to have a great friend who has introduced me to the hobby. He has set me on my way and I went through many geofacts before i finally homed in. Thanks for info
