I'm sure you already saw our post on October 22 under Neat find. But if you haven't I wondered if you would take a look. We have spent countless hours researching including the library and the net. Because of the proximaty to the civil war button and token (a few feet apart and the same depth) I think it is civil war. We have even pulled up antique clothing sites. Thanks to anyone for their suggestions. That is what we find to be so much fun. The search isn't over when you dig it up. It's just begun. HH Brink
