Hello all,

I will be making a short trip to Albuquerque after Christmas to visit some family. I was hoping to get a little nugget shooting in while in the state. I've never been to New Mexico before, so I need a little help finding a location. I tried running a google search for nugget shooting in NM without much luck. I'm not asking anyone for their "secret spot", but if anyone knows of a place I could head for a few hours with a chance at finding some shiny, I'd be deeply obliged.

I'm also open to to looking for coins/relics if anyone wants to meet up, but my true love is the AU. My goal for this year is 100 silver finds and 5 gold. I doubt I'll make the silver goal, but if I can squeak in on the gold before midnight on the 31st, it'd make my trip!

In exchange, I can put you on some gold locations if you're ever up in Wyoming.

I'm open for private messages if you'd rather not post on the forum.

Thank you,
-NZ49er (Currently in frigid Wyoming)

Just for some eye candy, here are a couple of Wyoming nuggets from earlier this year.

I dont know any in NM, but I'd suggest on a search, look for "dry washing for gold in NM" to find a spot. Find a place where people dry wash for gold, rack down the piles, scan those.

Great idea, I will give it a try. Thank you!
