Recoveries after an Atlantic Storm

1st is a cool Black Rhyolite (likely a Merrimack) Stemmed Point. It was easy to spot this on laying out right on top of the sand. It has an unfortunate break on the base of the stem.




I thought the next one was an Atlantic Blade (also damaged; an impact fracture took one whole side off, and a stem fracture). But after measuring the width of the stem, I’m leaning towards a well resharpened Genesee/Snook Kill type made of Lockatong Argillite.
I moved it before taking the fist pic:

Those impact fractures get easier to identify the more of them you see.

It's nice you find those right on the beach. I've never found anything but shells here in Florida. My younger brother found one up in the Ft. Walton area maybe 45 years ago.
