religious coin or token???

Found this yesterday. It rang up as a quarter or half-dollar. (12-45 on the E-Trac)
It has a reeded edge. I'm not sure of the composition.
I don't believe it is very old due to the immense detail.
I can't find anything that matches it anywhere and there is no date.
Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!!
