Brake spring tool for upper springs on drum brakes.

It looks like a part to a clamp that the power companies use on aluminum wire. The two notches were where U bolts attached. The wire would lay in the groove on the other side. The only problem is I cant understand why the groove would be wavy? I may be completely wrong.

It looks like BTC or B-C. Maybe bendix tool corp. Im pretty sure its a brake spring tool you hook spring in notch and hook back concave side over pin then pull and spring end slip onto pin. I have one somewhere but slim chance of finding it. I know the one i have is older than me and Im 42.

It looks like a finger. We used them in a manufacturing plant where I used to work . They are used on Circuit breakers. Ours was copper and would be silver platted.

The picture doesnt look like it but my guess is there are many variations. This one was probably manufactured by a different company as well. (BTC) I think its from this type of clamp.

There is a BTC Electronics in NC that might make aluminum wire clamps for the powerline industry..
