Interesting. I have no reason at this time to doubt their conclusion that this is the oldest mine found so far in the Americas. So far. How did those human beings working that mine get there?
My beliefs, backed up by science or not, doesn't allow for the spontaneous appearance of man in this hemisphere. Humans made it to this continent somehow and worked their way to Wyoming. I think it likely that along the way there over a few hundred, or thousand, years they dug some other mines and they may or may not be discovered. Science is always moving the starting line further and further back. That's one of the cool things about science and archeology.

Red Ocher added color to their life. That is a big leap and a valuable resource.
