Got out to our spot with TF this morning. The easier targets, if you want to even call them that, are drying up quickly but still managed 3 more Barber dimes and an IH. This spot is some of the tuffest hunting I have had to do. Great learning experience too.

Next trip back will be with the small coils. Lets hope they go deep enough to find a few more.

Still a great hunt. i lot of the coins you found where 1901.

Wow again! More barbers and no Mercs. That place is old.. probably no war nickels either.
WTG Dan

I got a few more coins but no silver... I can find the iffy IH's but the barbers absolutly refuse to get under my coil! :tongue3: This is what I found today:

1888 IH
1895 IH
1901 IH
1910 wheatie
1941 wheatie
1889 V-Nickel
1941 Jefferson
thimble (I think its silver but haven cleaned it yet)

Yea that place is some SUPER HARD DIGGIN as every single coin was an iffy signal!!! I sure hope the small coils can go deep enough too!!!

Who cares if they're late comers. . . they're silver

There's about 30 of us locals and lurkers right now hard at work trying to find where they're at!
We've talked to Homeland Security about securing cell phone transmission records for triangulation, gas station and hot dog stand reciepts in their names, etc..

We'll be tagging their cars with GPS if/when we find them so get in line!

I have now hired a security detail to follow us around. If you come within 50' of our locations and are acting suspiciously, you will have a black bag thrown over your head, driven to a remote location, and possibly waterboarded during interrogation. You have been warned. 8)

you know it is up north because it don't snow south of the city.

Late comers or not I never complain about Barbers. They are always great finds and cherished.

Let us know how the small coils work out. I have a Sun Ray 5.5" that I've had out a few times and am impressed with it's ability to work through the trash, but no deep finds yet. Rick :coffee2:
