Oh my goodness.. very hot day in the uk today… so we decided it was time to brave the river!!! Digging finds is super tricky!! But we managed to get all our targets out.. some junk… but… 3 beauties… 2 pennies… a 1918 and a 1920 and a 1942 three pence Oh nd a nice bit of old pottery!!!

I can barely get my shovel in the ground anymore, luckily havesting is starting so will be able to get digging on those fields!!!

I'm not 100% sure, hard to tell on that photo & the normal black shine of 18th C pottery may have been river washed, or it is an odd looking bit of Nene-Valley Painted Ware (Roman).
