Cru'Dad & I spent 6.5 hours finishing off gridding the site, over the last few days we systematically gridded about 16 acres. We had double the runs this year to push the limits of the site & that tactic paid off big time!
The Romano-Celtic or Roman Bulls Head was very deep & out of shallow plough range in no-mans land, nothing else close to it, but it was halfway between 2 Roman Sites.

31 Scrappies - 1 Album one I need
Another Cut Fake Geo HalfCrown!
Celtic Bronze Unit (Coin)
Watch Winder
Roman Bracelet Bits & Fibulas
Nice Complete Bronze Roman Ring
1st BC- 1st C AD Celtic Bull's Head Bowl/Bucket Mount - whatever its function its one of my best artefact finds in a very long time.:headbang::headbang::headbang:

Yeap, the clay is heavy & hard on digging deep stuff. I was getting bored of digging deep iron & anything good was furthest from my mind, so when this popped out from the deep, I had problems speaking to Cru'dad. I just jumbled my words in shock.

The bronze bulls head is definitely the star of your hunt today Cru, I'm amazed at how big it is too! :occasion14:

It's Celtic for sure! What a stunning piece it's in!
Here's a write up from the Colchester finds site.

Amazing artefact! I would say Iron Age too. Very nice. It took a row of Gold Stater for the team to find this one and most people never get celtic gold in a lifetime. It's worth a Banner vote for rarity alone. You're on fire!
