Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Spent about 1.5 hours finishing off this field & then moved to the next door one to start gridding. We did a total of 3 hours on the somewhat frozen ground which improved the sticky boot/spade situation:tongue3:

Roman Nails (only kept the better ones)
12 Scrappies
Medieval swivel piece
1/2 a Tudor Buckle
Gunter's Chain piece
Nice Artillery button - note the brown patina:thumbsup::laughing7:
Star find - Roman Military 'Dolphin' Buckle partifact.8-)

This ones in the large medium range, although the guilding has gone, the shank is a bonus. I never get tired of finding these, not that I have tons, but there seems to be as many variants as buttons.

I agree. Very nice button Cru. But the dolphin is really the find of the day! You had luck with the frozen ground, i stuck in mud to my ankles....
 
Me too, but that doesn't make them lighter.... :laughing9: The little field sticking on the boots was worth detecting itself...
