Roman/Iron Age Site - Day 8...

Spent about 1.5 hours finishing off this field & then moved to the next door one to start gridding. We did a total of 3 hours on the somewhat frozen ground which improved the sticky boot/spade situation

Roman Nails (only kept the better ones)
12 Scrappies
Medieval swivel piece
1/2 a Tudor Buckle
Gunter's Chain piece
Nice Artillery button - note the brown patina
Star find - Roman Military 'Dolphin' Buckle partifact.

This ones in the large medium range, although the guilding has gone, the shank is a bonus. I never get tired of finding these, not that I have tons, but there seems to be as many variants as buttons.
