I got news for you Boatlode, the San Jose will never be salvaged. I have inside info from a legal group in Cartagena. The archies won't let it happen. Spain won't let it happen. The govt. doesn't have the money or expertise to do it. And if by some chance it does happen everything will go in to a museum or to Spain.

They had previous doubts about being able to salvage the wreck. Spain is probably waiting to challenge any attempts at it.
