There is something really suspicious going on. They seem to find garbage pieces of gold junk during the tiny 3-4" drilling, but nothing with the gigantic drilling project in the same locations. I'm just saying, something is not right.

I was more referring to the laginas have dug so deep they have buried the legend. There is no longer any sane person that still believes a immense treasure lays buried in the money pit area of oak island....

This Legend has been debunked.....

I doubt the Laginas are going to try to fill the gap with a factaul alternative...

Rick Lagina and Gary uncovered from the spoils a suspected cribbing spike, a pickax head, and a whole lot of wood, which is better than nothing, but the guys are now getting pretty desperate to find some treasure. With the winter rapidly closing in, time is running out. So, let’s hope they find something good soon.

They didn’t do squat in the swamp. As soon as they started pulling pieces of a “ship” they started something else in another area of the island. Waste of time.

They had to refill the swamp because they needed a water source for the wash plant in the Money Pit. They already acquired all that equipment and cans and couldn't just let them sit there unused.

I've found it incomprehensible that it's taken 15 years for them to decide they need a good look in the water around the island. Everything that came and left Oak Island went by water up until the late 1960's.

They have looked before in earlier seasons using different equipment and found nothing of any significance.

It does not bear any relationship to the legend anyway as the alleged treasure buriers did not dump there treasure around the island. So it is difficult to come up with even a theory of what they expect to be found.

It seems more a case of having run out of things to do but having to fill up extra episodes to meet their TV contract with history channel.

They have shown there is no treasure buried in the Money pit area so why would they find evidence of who "did not" bury treasure there...

One would assume they will not be given another season....

Assume away. History's not dumping this show as long as the Laginas can continue to tolerate the crap writing and editing. It's still the top-rated show in the 18-49 age group, which is the range that advertisers focus on because they spend the most money.

Dunfield solved the hoax when he dug a 100’ wide x 140’ deep hole and found NOTHING……no log platforms, no flood tunnels, and no evidence of anything ever being buried In the fictional money pit.

They began excavating toward the ship, but got squashed by the archeological restrictions in swamp area. After that point they could just dig in the little corner of the swamp but couldn't excavate the Spanish Galleon.

Oh yeah I forgot.

With all the money these guys are pumping into Nova Scotia plus the tourism to the area because of the show they should let them build an amusement park in that swamp. No questions asked.

I fail to see ANY logic in being so intent on finding "previous searchers'" holes...they came up dry, so obviously NOT "the spot"...so why re-dig them? Oh yeah, the old "they stooped too soon" theory?
