I wanted to add this site is on private property that I have permission to hunt. it's a bog. so the work is messy but well worth it. the low oxygen has preserved things wonderfully. not even any oxidation on the lead. also it is a fort.

Find any of these near your fort?

Alwayslearning,

Please google" Map of the seat of war in florida by general zachary taylor in 1839", zoom in on the area you are searching and see what fort you have found. Good luck. I have one BIG question for you.....have you found lots of square nails yet?

The best place to start is where you can get permission. After that... I don't go into over the computer. Not to say I do anything I shouldn't. Any waterway close to a fort will be the easiest place to start. Treat the bank like a beach at low tide. After storms or wind...ect.
