Seminole War Forage Cap Button

Hello everyone. I managed to get out to my favorite fort yesterday for a couple hours. Not a whole lot dug but I always consider it a successful hunt if I pull out a button. This particular button is a forage cap button for the infantry officers. It has an Armitage Phila back mark which dates from 1808 to 1825. I usually don’t clean the buttons very much but it was horribly corroded so I gave it a 20 minute vinegar soak which to care of the worst of it.
