Hello everyone! I know I said it earlier this week but this was my last fort hunt before my Virginia trip next week. I had a rare for me 3 button day. My best button of the day was the cuff size dragoon button with a Scovills back mark. It’s been a little bit since I’ve found one of those. My next find was the pistol size lead flint wrap. It was another hour before my next find which is the dress hat buckle which gave off a good signal with my AT Max. I decided to stay another 30 minutes and was fortunate to find a cuff size artillery button with a Robinsons back mark and just a minute later a 1 piece artillery button that has a lot of corrosion. I’m unsure of the back mark. On the way back to the truck I pulled this gnarly 69 caliber musketball out.
Thanks for looking and happy hunting to all.
I hope to be posting some finds next week from Virginia.
