Watching some bball tournaments, thought Iā€™d google artifacts from my area on commercial break, to see whatā€™s around, at the top of the image page were these gemsā€¦ I sure hope these people arenā€™t finding any suckers, I donā€™t know how you would police it but I donā€™t think you should be allowed to blatantly misrepresent things you are sellingā€¦ certainly not for those prices.

If people are dumb enough to buy this junk..... what can you say? False advertising comes to mind with the listings.
I wonder if they have ever sold any? Most on ebay are fakes but field grade usually look ok.
Fun post!šŸ¤£

"A fool and their money are soon departed" or "There's a sucker born every minute" comes to mind.

Bust bird stone has possibilities but others laughable. Donā€™t know what to think of monolithic ax. Seems too poorly made to be real. Maybe a Guffy fake from the 30ā€™s??
I thought the same about the bird but I didnā€™t know if they did busts. As for the axe there was a show on history channel where a guy had a very similar one supposedly he bought it off a guy that dug it out of a cave in Arkansas, the experts debunked it. I thought their best point was the style. The axe above and the one on the show seem to show the head with the shaft going through itā€¦ thatā€™s a European way of doing it, natives did the opposite, setting the head inside of the shaft.

Someone on facebook probably told them they were artifacts. I left a group just for that reason.
The Monolithic ax is a nice reproduction but not worth that amount
