Howdy folks,

Got out again this weekend. Still trying to find the race course/fairgrounds. I think I'm closing in. I've never had a day like I did on Saturday, though. I found SIX shield nickels and my very first 2 cent piece. No other coins, no clad, no wheats, nothing. Very strange. Also found a couple of eagle buttons and a pewter stag's head.

I was super stoked on the 2 Cent coin. Never thought I'd really find one. Not bad shape for a clay farm field either. FYI: On the NOX the 2 Cent rang in from 21-22. Thought it might be an IHP while I was digging it.

Thanks for looking,

That 2 cent coin has a nice patina and very little wear.

Six shield nickels in one day? Impressive and may be a forum record for shield nickels.

Right? No other coins. They were pretty well scattered too, so it wasn't a pocket spill. Very odd.

Well there's 32 cents we'd all like to dig up. Grats and thanks for sharing.
