One thing that is improved is the ground sensitivity function. It helped make the detector more stable which really helps with the LF coils.

I would always upgrade, maybe after the latest has been released to ensure no bugs, but always the latest for me....

I try to wait as well to see what gain there is or what problems and are they worked out. the ground sensitivity improvement would be nice

Actually, the new ground sensitivity feature exists in version 4.2. Version 5.2 provides compatibility with the x35 coils and improves connectivity to the wireless MI6 pinpointer if you have one if those.

Just received my X35, so I'll be doing the upgrade.
If my knee and back ever get good enough to hunt I'll find out.
