i see arabic and what look to be a date of 1293 ?
 

I'm not good with these but I think its cupro-nickel or another such mix, I don't think its silver, but might be proved wrong shortly....

The Arabic/Islamic date of 1293 translates to 'our' date of approx. 1876. It's a coin from the Ottoman Empire (1324-1922)

One story is that a former Sultan was asked to write his name on a document. Not knowing how to write, the Sultan dipped his middle three fingers into ink and began his 'mark' with down verticle strokes using only his three fingers.
