20221030_231150.jpg There used to be a forum called "whatsit" to get information on an item. I don't seem to find it, so please place this post as is appropriate.

This silver pocket watch was on a permission site. Being that the date inside may be 1945, I am interested in finding out if it is associated with the war. Unfortunately, the vanity back is missing, so no good info there. However, there is engraving that is not English. Any info on the history of this item would be greatly appreciated.

Nice recovery on the watch case
It's hard to read the close up of the writing photos

Could you take another a little back so it's easier to see.
The "What is it forum is 3 down from the today's finds.

I don’t know much about the watch‘s history, but it appears, for some reason, the 450 numerals were struck out and 318 was added to match the numbers on the others part. Unusual typo.

The #'s on a case mean something as the bezel will have another.
There's a silver mark just above the 19318#
It's the written name that will a clue of where to start looking.
The writing above the red mark.
What does it say?
