This week my bank could not get a box of halves for me. Said they received quarters instead for some reason. Then today I got a call they said someone came in with 400 in halves. Thought it was worth a try. NOTHING. No silver no proofs, NOTHING out of 400 worth. Looks like another hunter in town for sure. There were 5 diffrent roll types from diffrent banks. Guess I'll stick to boxes from now on.

It happens, but don't be discouraged. It just as easily could have been the family of a horder who died and they cashed in his stash of old coins.

I'm saving up my money to get a box, but in the meantime I'll get any loose rolls or coins I can.

You can always get coins from the banks themselves...(and in case everyone here has forgotten, halves aren't the only coins worth searching... )
