I hiked up into the woods a couple weekends ago , went up a steep cliff with detector and shovel to see what was on top. Leveled off and got a good signal. Pulled one of these out of the hole, followed by 3 more in the same hole. They are prohibition era slot machine tokens. { I think}On them they say “Good for one package of mints”…except they were not trading them in for any mints!

I really get a kick out of digging old good for and saloon tokens. Those you found are keepers.

Very cool! 🙌

Nice finds, congratulations! :occasion14:

Trade stimulator is the name of the slot machine. The token should be the same size a nickel, the proprietor would "give" you one or two, with hopes that you would pull a nickel or two, from your pocket and put it in the machine.

Nice find.

Marketing at its best!

Always nice to get something different. It adds to the mystery of the hobby.
Congratulations

Neat tokens. You have the same strategy as I do, searching random hilly terrain.
