Slq and barber dime in tearout!

Hello,

Met some friends two towns over to hunt. I drove by a sidewalk tearout, and I directed the crew to the newly exposed dirt.

I found a ihp, 1920 standing quarter, and a 1911 barber dime.

Friends found a merc, and gold plated pocket watch.

CF, Congrats on your beautiful finds !! Like everyone else, I REALLY love your SLQ considering the great condition it is in. Your Barber Dime is no slouch either. Using TNET's magnification, the SLQ gets a little blurry, so you should look closely yourself through a magnifier to see if you can spot a few other oddities of your coin that may add to its value.
As it stands now, I can see clearly that the date, 1920, has the known "die break" running through it. I can't see if there is a die break going to the second "T" in TRUST, I do see part of the die break on the "E" in LIBERTY but not the rest of it that's supposed to run toward Lady Liberty's eye, but it could be there under a more clear magnification. I don't know how to look for the other die breaks that are spoken of but they could be there. Also, I can't tell from the blurriness if yours is considered a "Full Head" (FH) or not. You'll have to look more closely, but the 1920 date die break is definitely there. Great find nonetheless. Below are 2 links you should look at that explain things. CHEERS!!! J.T.G.

I went back to the tearouts yesterday, and there was a big blob of concrete right on top of where I found the quarter! Perfect timing I suppose

I think I found a pocket watch winding key, and a couple Wheaties is all this time.

Ouch! I did that to the first seated Dime I ever found. Sometimes it can’t be helped - don’t beat yourself up. And display it so you can only see the Obverse!
